Laura Hollingsworth

My Story

Laura has 30 years of experience teaching children for the Arlington ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, Trinity Basin Preparatory School in Fort Worth, Texas and St. Alvan’s Episcopal School in Arlington, Texas.  She has a true gift working as a Special Education teacher to help challenged children.  She is caring and compassionate in addressing individual student needs and promoting positive educational experiences.  Laura encourages critical thinking skills and problem-solving strategies which made her students receive some of the highest test scores in the state of Texas. We were honored to have Laura spend the entire summer supervising children at Camp Joy for the 2024 Summer Season.   She loves cooking, swimming, gardening, and spending time with her new grandson.  Laura holds a Master of Education from Texas A & M University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
